Monterrey, N. L., April 10, 2024.- The Monterrey International Film Festival (ficmonterrey) is pleased to announce the opening of its call for its Official Selection of feature films and short films, within the framework of its twentieth edition; which will take place from September 25 to October 2, 2024.

Registration will be open until July 7, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. (GMT-6). Feature film works (with a duration greater than 60 minutes) and short films (from 1 to 30 minutes in length) will be received through the Filmfreeway and Festhome platforms, exclusively.
Selected participants will be notified via email in the month of August, and they will be informed about the continuity of the process.
Starting in September 2024, the festival will make public the final list of the films that will make up its competitive Official Selection, on the festival’s official website: https://monterreyfilmfestival.com/
The call is open to feature films produced from January 1, 2023 onwards; and short films produced after June 1, 2022. All must meet the requirements of the category in which they are entered.

The Monterrey International Film Festival, the most important in northern Mexico, for almost 20 years, has participated in countless national and international film events; and in its production it has had the participation of important figures from the national and international industry such as actors Tommy Lee Jones, Cecilia Roth, Marisa Paredes, and directors Luis Estrada, Luis Mandoki and Carlos Carrera, to name a few.
This year, it is also expected that the Industry section of the ficmonterrey will publish a call for projects in development and post-production, with the aim of promoting national and Monterrey production.
